Content Control: Content Scheduler – Delay Explained for Existing Members and New Members

Below is an explanation of how the delay works for Existing Members and New Members when using Content Scheduler in the Content Control section of WishList Member.

Example: Access to a post is set to be shown after 5 days. So the delay is set for a period of 5 days.

The delay is based on if the user is a new member or an existing member on the date the page/post was published.

Existing Members: The delay in access for the selected page/post will take effect after the page/post is published. So if you have a 5-day delay set for a selected page/post, existing members will see it 5 days after the page/post is published.

New Members: The delay in access for new members will take effect after they have been added to the selected membership level. So if you have a 5-day delay set for a selected page/post, new members will see it 5 days after they were added to the appropriate membership level.

Note: A workaround for existing members not seeing a newly published page/post right away is to change the publish date for that page/post to a date earlier than today's date and minus the number of days for the set delay.

As an example, let's say you want a newly published page to be seen by existing members right away (today) and the delay on that page is set to 5-days and it was published on May 10th. You can change the publish date of the page to May 4th or earlier and existing members will see that page right away.
