Registration – Options

Registration URLs:

There is a Simple Registration URL that can be used for each Level. These Simple Registration URLs allow for free sign up to that Level. So anyone who can access the URL can use it to register for that Level.

These URLs are typically used for Free Levels or for testing.

Simple Registration URLs are located in the Setup > Levels > *Click on Level Name* > Registrations section of WishList Member.

This is explained in more detail (including Screenshots) in the Registration URLs (Simple Registration URLs) Knowledge Base article.

Registration Short Codes:

WishList Member includes the capability for you to insert a registration form in any page/post.

This is an example of adding a registration form for a Level named Silver.

[wlm_register “Silver”]

In this case “Silver” is the name of the membership level. So just replace silver with the level name from your site.

Adding that shortcode to the content section of a page or post will insert a registration form for the specific Level.

Please Note: This does not need to be added to the HTML of a page. It can simply be added to the content area.

Also, please keep in mind that these registration forms are usually used for Free Membership Levels as once this short code is placed on a page or post, anyone who sees that form can register.

This is explained in more detail in the Registration Form Shortcode – Add Registration Form to a Page or Post Knowledge Base article.

WishList Member (Login) Widget – Register Link:

The Register link on the WishList Member Widget (often referred to as the Login Widget) directs to the Non-Members page.

The Non-Members page is where users will get directed to if they do not have access to the area they are attempting to view.

The thought behind having the Register link direct to the Non-Members page is that a Non-Members page typically includes the option to register.

Providing the option for users to register on the Non-Members page is useful since they were just redirected after wanting to access a piece of protected content they cannot view.

Also, your site may have multiple Levels. So by including that Register link on the WishList Member (Login) Widget directing to the Non-Members page, you could then display multiple links to multiple registration forms.

This information can also be viewed in the WishList Member (Login) Widget – Register Link Knowledge Base article.

Paid Registration / Payment Provider Integrations:

The above options can be used for Free or Simple integration methods. If you want to use the WishList Member Full integration option, that can be accomplished as well if you are integrating with any of the WishList Member Full integration options.

WishList Member offers a Full integration method for a number of online Payment Providers. This is the recommended method of integration with a Payment Provider.

Full integration means if a Member cancels their payment in the online Payment Provider, it will communicate with WishList Member and cancel the Level of that Member.

There is also a Generic Integration option and a Simple Integration option which can be used to integrate with Payment Providers not included in the Payment Providers section of WishList Member.

This is a sample of some of the WishList Member Full integration options. The complete list can be viewed in the Knowledge Base article mentioned below.
