Sendlane

To start, you’ll need your Sendlane API Key, Hash Key and Subdomain. Log into your Sendlane account and Navigate to Account > API. You’ll see all three credentials listed there:

Also, be sure you have created a list (Sendlane help article on that here) inside of your Sendlane account, and have the list ID (article on how to find that here) handy, so WishList Member knows where to place your new leads and contacts.

Once you have all this information collected and handy, log into your WordPress and WishList Member install. In WordPress, navigate to WishList Member > Setup > Integrations and click on the “Email Providers” tab:

Then, select Sendlane from the list of Email Providers:

Click the Configure button, then in the popup, enter your Sendlane details:

Then, click Save & Close. Check for the API Status: Connected message to confirm the integration was successful.

Next, click on the Actions tab. You’ll see a list of your membership levels. Click the pencil icon to edit the Sendlane settings for a particular level:

You’ll see the following in the pop-up that appears:

Think of the tabs across the top as “Triggers” or “Events” that can occur related to this particular membership level. Think of the options within the tab as a set of “Actions” that can be performed when a level “event” is “triggered”.

Here’s an example:

  • TRIGGER: When a new member is added to the level.
  • ACTION: Add the member email address to the selected list.

You can perform multiple actions at once. For example:

  • TRIGGER: When a new member is added to the level.
  • ACTION: Add the member email address to the selected list.
  • ACTION: Apply the tag “new member”

At a minimum, you’ll want a new member added to the appropriate email list when they join this level:

You may also want to remove a member from the mailing list if/when they cancel:

You can get creative with how you handle all this, but this is where you configure all of these settings. And, you can configure each level differently if you prefer.

And, that’s it. Once you’re done, click “Save and Close” and simply repeat the process for each membership level you’d like to integrate with Sendlane.
